The question always arises when meeting someone new, “So what do you do?” As I ponder through my answers, should I say, “I am a Matchmaker” or switch topics because usually something along the lines will follow shortly after – “Wow, I’ve never met a Matchmaker! I have a friend who is single, how does it work, can I tell you about him/her?”
Not that I mind, I’m absolutely in love with being a Matchmaker — It’s an honor, it’s unforgettable, and it’s life changing for both my clients and for me! But the reason I started this business was to bring AUTHENTICITY to the matchmaking business — and to make a difference in helping people find love.
A very smart man, a role model to say the least, Simon Sinek says, “The goal is not to do business with everyone who needs what you have; it’s to do business with people who believe what you believe.” I believe in changing lives through love.
I recently made an introduction and it was clear they both had little faith in themselves finding love ever again (more often then not — this is the truth). They are now falling in love and happier than ever — it’s awesome to see them so happy! Awesome to say this is my (in some way) Fifth engagement in Four years.
So yes I nod, being a Matchmaker is different and yes I have a website. How it works depends on the client. In a nutshell I make introductions hoping they will be a match. We are extremely selective…and we only work with people who “believe what we believe” and who have faith in this process.
